# Submit homework problems to SolveWise

> Submit math homework to SolveWise by uploading a photo, attaching a PDF, or typing problems as text. Submit multiple problems at once for faster help.

SolveWise accepts homework in multiple formats — you can upload a photo of a handwritten worksheet, attach a PDF from your teacher, or type and paste problems directly. You can submit multiple problems at once, so you don't have to go one problem at a time.

## How to submit a problem

Log in to SolveWise at solvewise.org with the username and password your parent created for you. From your home screen, you'll see the homework submission area at the top.

### Option 1: Type or paste problems

Click in the text field and type or paste your problem directly. You can paste multiple problems at once — just put each problem on its own line or separate them with a blank line. SolveWise will recognize each one separately.

**Example:**

```
Solve for x: 3x + 7 = 22
A store sells notebooks for $2.75 each. Marcus buys 6 and pays with a $20 bill. How much change does he get?
Find the area of a triangle with base 8 cm and height 5 cm.
```

### Option 2: Upload a photo

Click **Upload Photo** and select a picture from your phone or computer. SolveWise reads the problem text from the image. For best results:

* Make sure the photo is in focus and well-lit
* Lay the paper flat — avoid angle shots
* Include the full problem in the frame

### Option 3: Upload a PDF

Click **Upload PDF** and select the file. SolveWise extracts the problems from the document. This works well for teacher-generated worksheets shared digitally.

## After submitting

Once your problem is submitted, SolveWise identifies the problem type and asks how you'd like to approach it. See [Hints and walkthroughs](/students/hints-and-walkthroughs) for what happens next.

<Note>
  SolveWise currently supports math for grades K–12, from basic arithmetic through calculus. Other subjects are coming soon.
