SolveWise uses a parent-first account model: you create and own the account, add student profiles, and control all settings. Your child logs in separately using credentials you create for them. This page covers everything you need to configure after your initial signup.Documentation Index

Parent account details
Your parent account controls billing, student profiles, and dashboard access. After signing up you can update your account information from Account Settings:- Email address — used for billing notifications and account updates
- Password — change at any time from Account Settings
- Zip code — used to route PTA donations to your local school
SolveWise donates $2 per child per month to your local PTA, routed by zip code. This is included automatically in your subscription — no action needed.
Adding and managing student profiles
Each student in your household needs their own profile. From your parent dashboard, click Add Student to create a profile.Student profile fields
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| First name | How SolveWise addresses your child (first name only — no last name collected) |
| Grade level | Tunes explanation depth and problem complexity |
| Username | What your child uses to log in |
| Password | Set by you; your child uses this to access their account |
| Math method | Traditional or Common Core — must match your child’s classroom |
Choosing a math method
The math method determines how SolveWise explains and solves problems:- Traditional — standard algorithms: long division, carrying, borrowing. This is what most parents learned.
- Common Core — visual models, number bonds, area models, and number sense strategies. Used in many US schools for grades K–5.
Managing multiple students
The Family plan supports 3–5 students under one parent account, with additional students available for $10/mo each. The Individual plan supports 1–2 students. Each student has their own:- Login credentials
- Progress dashboard
- Quiz history
- Mastery scores and independence tracking
Deactivating or deleting a student
From a student’s profile in the parent dashboard:- Deactivate — hides the student’s profile and pauses access. Progress data is preserved and can be restored later.
- Delete permanently — removes all data including homework history, quiz results, and mastery scores. This action cannot be undone.
