SolveWise is an AI-powered math tutoring platform for K-12 students, built for parents who want real learning — not just answers. Instead of handing over solutions, SolveWise walks students through every step with explanations of why each step works, then verifies understanding with a short quiz after each session.

What SolveWise does

  • Step-by-step tutoring — every problem is explained with clear reasoning, not just the final answer
  • Pattern recognition — students learn to identify problem types, building real mathematical thinking
  • Mastery quizzes — a short quiz after each session confirms your child understood the material
  • Interactive graphs — Desmos-powered graphing and GeoGebra 3D geometry visualization
  • Parent dashboard — real-time mastery scores, independence rates, and quiz results
  • Curriculum alignment — choose Traditional or Common Core to match your child’s classroom

Who SolveWise is for

SolveWise is designed for parents of K-12 students who need homework help available 24/7. The parent creates and manages the account; students log in with a username and password set by the parent.

How the teaching method works

SolveWise is built around decades of cognitive science research. Every tutoring session follows this sequence:
  1. Pattern identification — SolveWise names the problem type before solving it (“This is a rate × time = distance problem”)
  2. Step-by-step walkthrough — each step explains both what to do and why
  3. Answer verification — the solution is checked by substituting back into the original problem
  4. Mastery quiz — a short conceptual quiz after the session confirms real understanding
SolveWise is a supplemental learning tool designed to reinforce what your child’s teacher teaches — not replace classroom instruction.
