The SolveWise parent dashboard gives you a real-time view of every student’s progress — no waiting for report cards or parent-teacher conferences. This page explains what each metric means and how to use the dashboard effectively.

Accessing the dashboard

Sign in at solvewise.org with your parent account email and password. The dashboard loads automatically and shows an overview of all students on your account. Click any student’s name to see their individual progress detail.

Dashboard metrics

Mastery level

The mastery level shows which grade-equivalent content your child has demonstrated understanding of, based on quiz performance — not just problem completion. For example, a student working through 6th grade content who has passed quizzes consistently may show a mastery level of “Grade 6.2.” Mastery level increases as your child passes mastery quizzes. It does not increase just from submitting problems.

Independence rate

Independence rate is the percentage of sessions where your child chose “I’ll try on my own” or used only a hint — rather than requesting a full walkthrough. A higher independence rate indicates your child is building confidence and relying less on step-by-step guidance.
An independence rate above 70% is a strong signal that your child is ready to tackle new topics or more challenging problems. Use this as a cue to assign harder practice problems.

Quiz results

After every tutoring session, SolveWise generates a short mastery quiz. The dashboard shows:
  • Number of quizzes passed this week
  • Historical quiz pass rate by topic
  • Which concepts are solid vs. which need more practice

Weekly activity

The weekly activity chart shows how many problems your child submitted each day. This helps you identify patterns — for example, whether your child is using SolveWise consistently or only right before tests.

Problems this week

The total number of homework problems submitted and tutored during the current week.

Switching between students

If you have multiple students on your account, use the student selector at the top of the dashboard to switch between individual views. The overview screen shows a summary card for each student side by side.

Uploading homework from the parent dashboard

You can submit homework directly to a student’s workspace from your phone or computer — useful if your child is working on paper while you’re elsewhere. From the student’s dashboard, click Upload Homework, then attach a photo or PDF.
