Your SolveWise subscription is month-to-month with no long-term contract. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from your account dashboard. This page covers how billing works and how to make changes to your plan.

How billing works

SolveWise bills monthly through Stripe. Your billing date is set on the day your free trial ends and repeats on that date each month. For example, if your trial ends on the 10th, you’ll be billed on the 10th each month. Payment receipts are emailed to your parent account email address after each charge.

Changing your plan

Upgrading from Individual to Family

If you’re on the Individual plan and want to add a third student, you’ll be prompted to upgrade to the Family plan. The upgrade takes effect immediately. You’ll be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing cycle.

Downgrading from Family to Individual

If you reduce your student count to 2 or fewer, you can switch to the Individual plan. Contact support@solvewise.org to request a downgrade. The change takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
Downgrading from Family to Individual when you have 3 or more active students will disable access for the students over the plan limit. Make sure to deactivate the appropriate student profiles before downgrading.

Updating payment information

To update your credit card or billing details:
  1. Sign in to your parent account at solvewise.org
  2. Go to Account Settings > Billing
  3. Click Update Payment Method
  4. Enter your new card details — changes take effect immediately
SolveWise uses Stripe for payment processing. Card details are never stored on SolveWise servers.

Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel at any time from Account Settings. After cancellation:
  • Your access continues until the end of the current billing period
  • No future charges are made
  • Your account data (student progress, quiz history, mastery scores) is retained for 12 months in case you reactivate
To cancel:
  1. Sign in and go to Account Settings
  2. Under Subscription, click Cancel Subscription
  3. Confirm the cancellation

Reactivating after cancellation

If you cancelled and want to restart, sign in and go to Account Settings > Subscription > Reactivate. If your 12-month data retention window hasn’t expired, all student progress data will be restored.
